Saudi Arabia is served by three major international airports: King Khalid International (Riyadh), King Abdulaziz International (Jeddah), and King Fahd International (Dammam/Al Khobar). NEOM Bay Airport serves the north-west region.
Saudi Arabia's national carrier Saudia and budget airline flynas operate extensive international networks. Riyadh is a major hub with direct connections to most major world cities. Additional capacity will be added for the tournament period.
Culture & Customs
Dress Code
Saudi Arabia has relaxed dress codes for tourists. Modest dress is appreciated — cover shoulders and knees in public spaces. Swimwear is fine at hotel pools and beaches. Abayas are no longer required for women.
Prayer Times
Five daily prayers are observed. Some shops and restaurants may briefly close during prayer times. The call to prayer (Adhan) is a beautiful part of daily life. Respect quiet during prayer times near mosques.
Ramadan
The 2034 tournament falls in February–March, which may coincide with Ramadan. Eating, drinking and smoking in public during daylight hours should be avoided out of respect during this period.
Photography
Photography is generally permitted in public spaces. Always ask permission before photographing people, especially women. Avoid photographing government buildings, military installations and airports.
Greetings
A handshake is the standard greeting between men. Men should wait for a woman to extend her hand first. "As-salamu alaykum" (peace be upon you) is the traditional greeting — a warm response is always appreciated.
Public Behaviour
Public displays of affection should be avoided. Loud or disruptive behaviour is frowned upon. Saudi Arabia is a family-oriented society — respect for elders and families is important. Football passion is very much welcomed!

Food & Drink
Saudi cuisine is rich, aromatic and deeply hospitable. Lamb, rice, flatbreads and dates are staples. The country's diverse regions each have their own culinary traditions — from the spiced coastal fish dishes of Jeddah to the hearty mountain food of Asir. Saudi Arabia's cities also offer world-class international dining. Riyadh and Jeddah have thriving restaurant scenes with cuisines from every corner of the globe. Alcohol is not widely available, but Saudi coffee (qahwa) and fresh juices are excellent alternatives.
Tickets
FIFA will manage all official ticket sales for the 2034 World Cup. Tickets will be sold exclusively through the official FIFA ticketing platform. There is no official secondary market — beware of unauthorised resellers.
FIFA typically opens ticket sales 2–3 years before the tournament. For 2034, the first sales phase is expected around 2031–2032. Register your interest at FIFA.com to be notified when sales open.
